Andrew M. Streiber, DVM is a native of Los Angeles, California, being the 4th
generation of his family to be born in the Golden state. Dr. Streiber attended the Harvard School for Boys
(now Harvard-Westlake), enrolling as an undergraduate at the University of Colorado at Boulder before transferring and earning
his degree from the University of California at Berkeley
Dr. Streiber spent 8 years in the music business in Los Angeles before drastically changing his life and dedicating
himself to his passion for animals—and to becoming a veterinarian. In the process, he completed 3
years of pre-requisite education prior to applying to veterinary school.
Dr. Streiber graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006
and spent a year honing his clinical skills, training at the Animal Surgical and Emergency Center in West Los Angeles, where
he completed a rotating internship in emergency medicine, surgery, radiology, internal medicine and cardiology.
Dr. Streiber started working at Bay Animal Hospital in Manhattan Beach, CA on January 2, 2008.
In May 2011, Dr. Streiber left his associate position to open his own
small animal hospital, the El Segundo Animal Hospital, in El Segundo, CA.
Dr. Streiber is an avid snow skier, baseball fan, loves to travel and has 4 pets (Kody, a Labrador
retriever, Pearl, a lab mix, Casey, a tailless domestic shorthair and Tripod, a 3-legged domestic shorthair) that keep him
busy when he’s not working.
